Enterprise hiring01 / The capacity gap
Hiring teams are expected to screen more candidates, move faster, and maintain a consistent bar—often with the same team. The conventional first screen makes recruiter capacity the bottleneck, leaving strong applicants waiting or unseen.
I led the experience direction for AI Interviewer: a role-aware, multi-turn interview experience that can run at scale while producing a structured record recruiters can review and act on. The ambition was not to replace judgment. It was to make a high-quality first interview available to far more people, without lowering the bar.
02 / Product premise
Every interaction had to turn a live conversation into evidence that a recruiter could understand, question, and use.

03 / What we built
We connected interview guides, skills, and evaluation criteria to the role itself. A centrally managed interview library helped teams begin with stronger defaults while keeping the criteria adaptable to their hiring context.
AI Interviewer was designed for natural, multi-turn conversations. It could ask role-specific follow-ups, respond to a candidate’s answer, and assess demonstrated reasoning—not simply capture responses to a fixed list of questions.
The output was designed as a structured hiring record: transcript, scorecard, competency evidence, and a clear path back to the interview. This made the system useful in a real workflow, not just impressive in a demo.

05 / Designed for adoption, not novelty
For AI Interviewer to work in a high-stakes hiring process, its experience had to account for fairness, privacy, integrity, and the systems teams already use—not treat them as a later implementation detail.
AI supports the process; recruiters retain the context and authority to review, decide, and handle exceptions.
Identity verification and reviewable interview-integrity signals help teams establish confidence at scale.
Flexible deployment paths—from ATS-connected hiring stages to standalone use—made the system practical to adopt.

My contribution
I set the experience direction and led a multi-disciplinary design team across the recruiter and candidate journey—from product strategy and interaction patterns to the trust model that connected them. I also stayed hands-on across key use cases, shaping the workflows and interactions that brought the product to life.
